Overall Win Rates
Below you can see the overall win rates of each faction.
It is worth noting that because wins at any point during the event are valued equally, win rate is not a perfect indicator of warband performance (for example, a warband that went WWWL would score just as well as one that went LLWW, even though the LLWW player likely had easier games). Win rate is calculated as W/(W+L+D). Byes have not been counted in these numbers.
WARBAND | OVERALL WIN RATE | PLAYERS | WIN | LOSS | DRAW |
Steelheart’s Champions | 33.33% | 1 | 1 | 2 | 1 |
Sepulchral Guard | 50.00% | 1 | 2 | 2 | 0 |
Chosen Axes | 28.57% | 2 | 2 | 4 | 1 |
Spiteclaw’s Swarm | 25.00% | 3 | 3 | 7 | 2 |
Ironskull’s Boyz | 33.33% | 3 | 4 | 7 | 1 |
Garrek’s Reavers | 23.08% | 4 | 3 | 10 | 0 |
Farstriders | 56.25% | 4 | 9 | 6 | 1 |
Eyes of the Nine | 50.00% | 4 | 8 | 8 | 0 |
Magore’s Fiends | 16.67% | 6 | 4 | 19 | 1 |
Thorns of the Briar Queen | 50.00% | 6 | 12 | 11 | 1 |
Zarbag’s Gitz | 50.00% | 6 | 12 | 10 | 2 |
Godsworn Hunt | 45.83% | 6 | 11 | 13 | 0 |
Mollog’s Mob | 55.56% | 10 | 20 | 15 | 1 |

Ylthari’s Guardians | 62.30% | 16 | 38 | 21 | 2 |
Thundrick’s Profiteers | 47.56% | 22 | 38 | 39 | 4 |
Round by Round Win Rate
Because it theoretically gets harder or easier to win as the event goes on (depending on if you are doing well or poorly), it might be interesting to look at win rate per round.
Below you can see the win rates for each round:
Win Rate Progression
Here you can see what the total win-rate for each faction was after each round:
Here is the above data in chart format:
Round by Round Progression
It was exciting to follow along with the event as it happened and see what factions and players were still in the running. Below you can see some of the data on what occurred during each round.
Round 1:
After round one, 58 players had either lost or drawn their first game and were out of the running for the grand clash title.
Below you can see that 5 factions were eliminated in round one, and what percentage of each faction made it through to the second round:
Round 2:
After round 2, three more factions were out of the running, and three more were down to only one player representing them:
Round 3:
After round 3 only 12 players remained undefeated, and only seven factions were still in the running.
A shout out to Ben Williams (Farstriders), Tom Adams (Gitz), Tom Bond (Godsworn Hunt), and John Rees (Thundrik’s Profiteers) for being the only WWW players left in their factions going into the 4th round!
Round 4:
After round four only six players from four factions remained with all wins.
Final Swiss Results:
With the Swiss rounds completed, the top 8 were as follows (W/L/D):
- Ylthari’s Guardians: 1st (Jay Clare, 4/0/0), 2nd (Tommy Conboy, 4/0/0), 7th (David Smee, 3/0/1), 8th (Martin Collins, 3/1/0).
- Stormsire’s Cursebreakers: 3rd (Dan Jones, 4/0/0), 5th (Sam Scott, 4/0/0).
- Mollog’s Mob: 4th (Paul Lumsden, 4/0/0)
- Godsworn Hunt: 6th (Tom Bond, 4/0/0)
Where possible, I’ve linked the decks the players used on their names.
Final Round
The top two players (Jay Clare and Tommy Conboy, both playing Ylthari’s Guardians) faced off in the final round, and Tommy Conboy won the match and took home the glass (congratulations, Tommy!).
